Super nice flight from Tokyo to Osaka/Itami. |

Marlon Brando doin his thang with Stella. |
So I have finally landed in Japan, and I am sitting in Riza's house under a kotatsu
炬燵. I put a picture of one on the side so you will know what I'm talking about. It's this tabel with a blanket over it and it is heated underneath, super comfortable. It was a crazy long day of traveling that started in Huntsville and then went to Houston. I had about one inch of leg room on that flight, as you can tell in the picture. Thankfully on the 13 hour flight to Tokyo I had tons of leg room. I watched four movies on the plane so I am set on movies for about a year. Without a doubt, watching
A Streetcar Named Desire again has solidified Marlon Brando as one of the best actors ever to walk the earth in my opinion. When I got on the Japanese airline it was so nice, every seat had crazy amounts of leg room. It killed me every time the flight attendants would bow; bowing is a big thing here apparently. Also seeing all of the people in masks kinda freaks me out. I asked Riza about it and she said they are just not wanting to get sick, or they are sick and don't want to get others sick, but I can't help but feel like I'm in some crazy Stephen King movie. When I got off the plane in Tokyo I had NO idea where I was going. I just walked around and followed any white person I saw, which was a great idea, obviously. I eventually asked around and figured it out but it was a little bit stressful. When I was going through customs you had to claim things that you had in your luggage and it was telling you things that you are not allowed to have, and only in Japan would it tell you that you cannot bring swords; you gotta watch out for those Ninjas. Also, going through security in Tokyo is so much easier than in the States. You don't have to take your shoes off and you can bring pretty much all the liquids you want, I went through security with about a gallon of water. When I got to Riza's house she had a nice little dinner of Japanese curry for me, which was amazing! I also put up a picture of that little Pikachu posing with her dinner for your viewing pleasure, and a picture of me ballin with all of my Japanese Yen. I also have to upload a picture of her toilet. After I used the bathroom I had to call Riza in to show me how to flush it, I was so confused and amazed at the same time at all the options. I don't know how I'll ever be able to use a normal toilet again and be satisfied. I am also obsessed with Japanese TV; I have no idea what they are saying, but for some reason it is crazy entertaining. So I wanna end my posts with a Japanese word, so I am going to end this one with the word "cute" because we saw a cute dog on the way back from the airport that looked like Nana the dog from Peter Pan. So this is how you say cute in Japanese, kawaii
かわいい. Sayonara, which is goodbye in Japanese, but is also a film from 1957 starring Marlon Brando.
